06 Mar Rescue Efforts Round Two
On March 5, 2017, volunteers with Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue collaborated with the Morton County Sheriff Department and Fort Yates Game and Fish to rescue four remaining dogs. We are happy to report that all animals have been accounted for throughout the Dakota Access Pipeline protest sites.
The reported breeds of the dogs are two pit bull mixes and two Lab and German Shepard mixes, equaling out to be one male and one female of each. The remaining animals found near the sites have been rescued or returned to their owners.
Thank you to Fort Yates Game and Fish for holding the four dogs until FFRR could bring them into our care. Another thank you goes to Morton County Sheriff Department for allowing us to use their animal impound facility for quarantine.
The dogs will be vetted – vaccinated, exam, dewormer, and bath – prior to being posted for adoption.
Thank you to everyone who made this rescue effort possible!
